Drywall masters

There are lots of home improvements that are perfect for doing yourself. Installing drywall isn’t one of them.  Even small drywall repair jobs can get messy and complicated, but finishing a basement or other room, well that’s a whole different story.  Do yourself a favor and call us to help you install your drywall.

“Drywall is a lot harder than it looks,” say Bill Goll, the owner of Drywall One Call.  “Many people believe that can do a good job but drywall needs to disappear to be a great job.  You should never notice drywall.”

Remember, to do this job, you’re going to need some specialized tools.

Do you have a hawk? Do you have a mud pan? Do you have a putty knife around your house? I know I don’t.  The pros do and they know how to use them.

Hanging the drywall, which can weigh 80 pounds and generally takes a 3-person crew, is just step one of a four-step process. Next comes mudding, taping and sanding – all very detailed and necessary to provide that flat, even canvas for the paint or wallpaper.  Not only that – have you ever tried to install drywall on the ceiling?  Call a professional, please.

For the DIYer, installing drywall in a 12×14 room could take several weeks or longer. A professional drywall installation job for a room that size starts at about $200 for materials with extra costs coming in for those follow-up steps.  If you’re doing the ceiling that will take extra time.  But the entire project will take about five days from start to finish.  If you want it painted, and I would, let the pro paint it as well.  I personally like painting so I would do that myself.

Let the professional at Drywall On Call create the beautiful space you deserve and avoid the costly mistakes of a terrible drywallll job.
